PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of a rotating magnetic field by constituting a core wound by a coil and a rotating magnetic field confining case approximately symmetrically about a shaft vertical to an element surface of a magnetic bubble memory chip. CONSTITUTION:Since recessed parts formed by drawing parts 30, 33 are formed on outer and inner cases RFSa, RFSb to reduce a gap between the opposed recessed parts, a rotating magnetic field is formed only by a horizontal compo nent because a component vertical to the plane of the chip CHI becomes adja cent to zero, so that the uniformity of the magnetic field can be improved. In addition, magnetic circuits PFC, RFS are approximately symmetrical about the shaft vertical to the element surface of the chip CHI. Consequently, the uniformity can be further improved.
