PURPOSE:To insert a hard case smoothly by sliding a sliding body in the depth direction of a cassette holder by a signal outputted from a detector, and at the end of data processing, sliding a cassette guide in the depth direction of the cassette holder. CONSTITUTION:A part of the hard case 2 inserted into the cassette holder 31 is abutted upon an abutting part 49 of the sliding body 48 and presses the sliding body 48. As the result of said operation, a locking body 50 is unlocked from a holding part 63 and engaged with a locking hole 52 of a cassette case 2. A detector 62 detects said engaged status and generates a signal to drive a driving part 54, so that the sliding body 48 is slided in the depth direction of the cassette holder 31. The sliding body 48 draws the hard case 2 into the depth of the cassette holder 31. The cassette guide 27 is slided to the inlet side of the cassette holder 31 to make the cassette holder 31 adjacent to the bottom 10 of a frame 9 and couples a magnetic disk 3 with a disk driving shaft 11. Before the loading of the hard case 2, the locking body 50 recedes to make it possible to insert the hard case 2.
