PURPOSE:To enable the sterilization of a liquid food in a tank in high efficiency without causing the degradation of the food, by placing a heating tank containing a heating medium to the circumference of a tank furnished with a gas-compression freezing circuit, and heating the heating medium to a specific temperature for a specific period by a heating means. CONSTITUTION:A liquid food is put into a tank 2 furnished with a gas- compression freezing circuit composed of a compressor 4, evaporators 7,8, a condenser 5 and expansion valves 12,13 in a heat-exchanger circuit. Heating tanks 18,19 containing a heating medium 20 (e.g. ethylene glycol) which is harmless and resistant to degradation at a high temperature and low temperature are placed at the outer circumference of the tank 2, and the heating medium 20 is heated to a preset temperature for a preset interval by the heating means 21, 22 furnished with a controller 23. The liquid food in the tank 2 can be thermally sterilized in high efficiency without causing the degradation of the food. |
