ENDOSCOPE An endoscope comprising an image fiber for transmitting an image; a light guide for transmitting illumination light; a transparent liquid passage; this image fiber, light guide and transparent liquid passage are arranged generally in parallel with each other; and a balloon positioned to cover the distal ends of the image fiber, light guide and transparent liquid passage so as to be inflated and deflated by a transparent liquid transported through the transparent liquid passage. The improvement comprises dividing the transparent liquid passage into an inlet passage for introducing the transparent liquid into the balloon and an outlet passage for discharging the transparent liquid from inside the balloon. The endoscope according to the invention enables bubbles in the balloon and the transparent liquid passages to be removed easily.
