PURPOSE:To enhance the control ability of a power steering device in an industrial vehicle, etc., by racing the steering device when the relationship between a vehicle body and the position on a steering wheel is deviated exceeding a predetermined range, so that the deviation of the steering wheel may be automatically compensated. CONSTITUTION:A hand pump 1 for pilot control is coupled directly to a steering wheel 2, oil in an amount proportional to the rotational speed of the steering wheel 2 is discharged into either one of left and right operating circuits 1a, 1b in accordance with the rotating direction of the steering wheel 2, and therefore, a steering cylinder device 4 is operated. In the above-mentioned arrangement, the device 3 is positioned in the straightforward condition so that a vehicle attitude detecting device 4 is turned on and a bypass valve 6 is turned to a bypass position 6b, and when a knob 2a on the steering wheel 2 is set a position other than a predetermined position (left horizontal position), a compensating valve 8 is turned to a left or right communicating position 8b, 8c, and the control circuits 1a, 1b are short-circuited by a bypass valve 6 through the compensating valve 8. Accordingly, the steering wheel is rotated upto the predetermined position.
