PURPOSE:To stabilize triboelectrification amt. between toner particles thermselves and between the toner and a toner bearing body and to render a distribution of triboelectrification amt. uniform by incorporating a binder resin, a colorant, and one of specified metal dithiocabamates in a toner. CONSTITUTION:The metal dithiocarbamates are represented by the formula shown on the right in which R is 1-24C alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aralkyl; M is a metal atom, such as Zn, Co, Cr, or Cu; and n is 1-4. This compd. is mixed with a binder resin, such as a styrene-butyl acrylate copolymer, and a colorant, such as carbon black, and this fine toner powder is mixed with an iron powder carrier, and it is used for developing an electrophotographic latent image, thus permitting the obtained toner to be uniform in a distribution of triboelectrification amt. and a latent image to be stably developed. |
