A method is disclosed for applying a powdered interleaving material to a glass surface in the form of an aqueous slurry and an article of manufacture comprising a plurality of glass sheets stacked in facing relationship wherein the interfacing surfaces have adhering thereto a uniform distribution of a powdered interleaving material applied as a slurry and thereafter dried.
