PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic head whose glass part has no dents and bubbles by using glass for binding ferrite contg. SiO2, BaO, B2O3, ZrO2, ZnO and Na2O in a specified ratio and precisely regulating the width of the magnetically effective gap. CONSTITUTION:Glass for binding ferrite contg., by weight, 16-24% SiO2, 50-56% BaO, 22-32% B2O3, 0.5-2.5% ZrO2, 0.5-1% Zno and 0-4% Na2O is used for binding ferrite magnetic cores and filling the gap part to produce a magnetic head. The glass does not react with ferrite in the binding at high temps. and the width of the magnetically effective gap can be precisely regulated. Moreover, bubbles are not generated in the filling and dents are not formed.
