ANCILLARY INSTALLATION FOR TORPEDO LADLE

PURPOSE:To suppress the oscillation of a ladle generated by refining by providing extendable and contractable plural supporting legs to the bottom of the ladle in the stage of refining the molten iron in a ladle supported by a carriage of a torpedo ladlc car. CONSTITUTION:Bearings 4 of the ladle 2 contg. a molten iron 8 are supported by the carriage 5 via sleeper beam groups 6 and the ladle 2 is moved to the position where a lance 9 is to be inserted into an aperture 3 of the ladle. The supporting legs 11 of which plural pieces are provided to the ladle 2 are then extended by hydraulic actuators 10 by which the legs are grounded and fixed. The excitation force induced by the lance 9 is thereby suppressed and the oscillation of the torpedo ladle car 1 is prevented.
