<p>Prodn. of (6R,7R)-((Z)-2-(2-aminothiazol -4-yl)-2-oxy-iminoacetamido)- 3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid cpds. of formula (I) or their salts comprises condensing a (Z)-2-aminothiazolyl-2-substitd-oxyiminoacetic acid cpd. of formula (II) or its reactive deriv. with a (6R,7R)-7-amino-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid cpd. of formula (III) or its salt, and when R4 is a protected carboxy, effecting deprotection reaction, and if required converting the prod. into a salt. - In the formulae R1 is H or lower alkyl; n is an integer of 2 or 3; R2 is acetoxy, (1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)thio or a gp. of formula (IV); R4 is carboxy or protected carboxy when R2 is acetoxy or (1-methyl-1H- tetrazol-5-yl)thio, or -COO- when R2 is (IV); Y is H, hydroxymethyl or carbamoyl; R3 is -COOH when R2 is acetoxy or (1-methyl-1H- tetrazol-5-yl)thio, or -COO- when R2 is IV.</p> |
