发明名称 MEASURING METHOD OF QUANTITY OF GAS IN MOLTEN NONFERROUS METAL
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To perform automatic measurement accurately and simply by a method wherein the specific gravity and shape of a probe employed for measuring the quantity of gas in a molten nonferrous metal are adjusted so that the carrier gas blow-in position of the probe is maintained at a prescribed depth in the molten metal irrespective of the vertical fluctuation of the surface of the molten metal. CONSTITUTION:In a device in which the main body 3 of a probe for collecting a gas is provided at the end portion of a probe shaft 1 having a conduit 6 for blowing a carrier gas into a molten nonferrous metal and a conduit 7 for collecting the carrier gas containing the gas to be measured in the molten metal and for sending it for measurement, the main body 3 of the probe is so manufactured, by using a heat-resisting heat-insulating material, as to having such a specific gravity and shape that keep the probe 3 floating on the surface of the molten metal and set the distance L between the end of the conduit 6 and the surface of the molten metal constantly at a prescribed value. The probe shaft 1 is fitted movably up and down to a support 9 through the intermediary of a metal fitting 8 so that it can follow the fluctuation of the quantity of the molten metal as shown by an arrow A. Thereby the remaining gas in the molten metal can be measured at a prescribed depth in a continuous and automatic manner.</p>
