<p>NEW MATERIAL:Pigment dispersants of formula I, wherein Q is a residue of an org. dye ; X is -CONH-Y2-, -SO2NH-Y2-, -CH2NHCOCH2NH-Y2- ; Y2 is alkylene, arylene ; Y1 is -NH-, -O- ; Z is hydroxyl, alkoxy, etc. ; R1 and R2 are each alkyl or they may form a nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic ring when combined together ; m is 1-6 ; n is 1-4. USE:Pigment dispersants having an excellent effect of improving non- agglomeration and non-crystallizability of org. and inorg. pigments and suitable for use as materials for the production of offset ink, gravure ink, etc. PREPARATION:An org. dye such as anthraquinone dye, azo dye, phthalocyanine dye, quinacridone dye or dioxazine dye is chlorosulfonated or chloro acetamidomethylated and reacted with an amine of formula II (e.g. a compd. of formula III) to obtain the pigment dispersant of formula I (e.g. a compd. of formula IV wherein Cu-Pc is copper phthalocyanine).</p> |
