DECODER OF PICTURE SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To reduce lots of information quantity by applying multipulse coding to a forecast error signal obtained by forecast-coding a picture signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal subject to compression coding fed from a transmission line 1010 is fed to an expansion decoding circuit 11, the pulse train subject to compression coding is expanded and made composite and the result is fed to a synthetic filter 112, the quantized inverse quantization forecast error signal is synthesized and fed to an inverse quantization circuit 113. A picture signal from the forecast error signal subject to inverse quantization fed from the inverse quantization circuit 113 at an adder circuit 114 and from the forecast signal fed from a forecast signal generation circuit 115 is subject to forecast decoding and the result is fed to an output terminal 110 and the forecast signal generating circuit 115. The picture signal read and forecast-decoded from the forecast signal generation circuit 115 is fed to the adder circuit 114 as the forecast signal.
