PURPOSE:To allow the microwave band switch to diagnose whether its switch operation is normal or abnormal by itself and to detect the occurrence of abnormality immediately by comparing the mutual relation between a microwave input signal level and a microwave output signal level with a switch control signal which drives the switch. CONSTITUTION:A microwave signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is inputted to a microwave band switch circuit 5, but part of it is led to a detector through a coupler 4 and detected, and then led to a decision circuit 12. The microwave signal inputted to the switch circuit 5 is outputted to an output terminal 8 through the microwave band switch circuit driven by a driving circuit 6 with a switch control signal inputted from an input terminal 11, but part of it is led to a detector 10 through a coupler 7 and detected, and then led to the decision circuit 12. The decision circuit 12 compares the mutual relation between both detected signals with the instruction contents of the switch control signal and outputs ''0'' indicating that the operation of the microwave band switch circuit 5 is normal when they coincide with each other or ''1'' indicating abnormality when not to an output terminal 13.
