<p>In order to automate the radial movement of the tool- holder mounted on the machine tool spindle during the machining operation, the following are used: - A slide holder 3, fixed to the spindle 2, with an epicyclic gear train 9, 21, 22, 19, which via the gears 8 or 7 acts upon a screw 6 to drive the tool-holder 4, together with a helical gear 10 that engages with the gear 22 of the epicyclic gear train and which is operated by a direct current electric motor 14, disposed on the slide holder 3; - A positioning transducer 15, with the possible addition of a speed transducer, joined to the aforesaid electric motor 14; - A device control unit; - A connector 16 for the automatic engagement/disengagement for the purposes of the mounting/dismounting of the device on the spindle or from the spindle of the machine, for the purposes of achieving the electrical connection of the motor 14 and the transducer 15, and after the latter the connection with the control unit for the device and with the control unit of the machine.</p> |
