ACCELERATION METHOD AND APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To enable a higher speed of an object to be accelerated by a safe and simple system, by making atmospheric pressure act upon the object being accelerated in vacuum. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum pump 110 is operated to evacuate a vacuum chamber 113 and a cylinder 101. A flying body 104 is accelerated by removing an accumulation body 102 all at once when the required vacuum is reached. The flying body 104 flies in the cylinder 101 being accelerated together with a servo 117 and the servo 117 abuts a servo stopper 18 to stop while the flying body 104 alone runs into a test body 108 to impact.
