PURPOSE:To forge a coillike material using a general purpose forging machine and to reduce forging costs by making a cone-shaped body by deforming the coillike material in the axial direction, heating the material, and forging the material using a die and a punch. CONSTITUTION:A coillike material 1 formed by winding a sheet in a coil is deformed into a hollow circular cone-shaped body by giving the core-part and the periphery part a couple of force. That deformation is made by a slip between one and another of sheets easily. The material 1 is heated, is put in the die 2, and is forged by a punch 3. In that time, the material 1 flows along the die shape easily and is formed into a set shape. The material 1 is integrated after forming because of a high temperature forge welding force between one and another of thin sheets.
