PURPOSE:To obtain an anti-allergic eye lotion effective for the remedy of allergic conjunctivis, pollen conjunctivis, periophthalmic inflammation and itchiness, etc., by using a solvent containing sodium bicarbonate and boric acid and a drug such as ascorbic acid, etc., as essential components, and finally adjusting the pH of the composition within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A drug such as ascorbic acid or sodium cromoglycate is added to a buffering solvent obtained by dissolving an aqueous solution of boric acid in an aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate, and the pH of the mixture is adjusted to 6.9-7.2 to obtain the objective anti-allergic eye lotion. Ascorbic acid is especially preferable as a drug component of the eye lotion because it releaves the congestion and suppresses the fibrinolytic activity. It is effective to use ascorbic acid in combination with L-glutamic acid having mucous membrane activation activity and with qn extremely small amount of a steroid hormone. The eye lotion can be applied not only by dropping into the eye or conjunctive but also by spraying into the eye or peripheral of the eye. |
