PURPOSE:To make it possible to correctly hold gaps between the deflection plates by forming the vertical deflection electrodes and the horizontal deflection electrodes in an electron gun of a cathode-ray tube for observation while making the respective pair of deflection plates en bloc to be fixed to the insulated supports. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun of a cathode-ray tube for observation is formed by fixing an electron gun proper 16, the vertical deflection electrodes 17, a shielding plate 19 and the horizontal deflection electrodes 18 to two pieces of insulated supports 11 made of bead glass or the like. Thereby, the vertical deflection electrodes 17 are formed by making a pair of deflectors 171, 172 provided with conductive films 171b, 172b on the opposing surfaces of the in organic insulated materials 171a, 172a en bloc by the supporting plates 201, 202 and a stud 21 while forming the horizontal deflection electrodes 18 equally en bloc to be fixed to the insulated supports 11. Accordingly, the electrodes 17 and 18 can be accurately assembled in a separate process thus sharply heightening accuracy of the electron gun.
