RADIATION PICTURE INFORMATION RECORDER AND READER

PURPOSE:To record and read out radiation picture information by irradiating radiant rays to an accumulation type phosphor sheet through a subject to record a picture and scanning the phosphor sheet by excited light to read out accelerated phosphorescent light and obtain a picture signal. CONSTITUTION:Instantaneously emitted light from a sheet is detected by a photodetecting means 50 and a reading/processing condition is determined by a condition determining means 60 on the basis of the quantity of light. The sheet 2 on which picture information has been recorded is carried to a reading part 120 by a carrying belt 111. The sheet 2 is scanned by excited light at the reading part 120 and accelerated phosphorescent light is photoelectrically read out in accordance with the reading condition. The read-out picture signal is processed by a picture processing circuit 70 in accordance with the processing condition and outputted from a picture processing/reproducing device 80 as a visual image. The sheet passed through the reading part 120 is carried again to a photographing part 110 through an erasing part 140 and reused. Thus, radiation picture information can be recorded and read out by a small-sized device enalbed to execute high speed photographing and to be easily mounted on a medical examination car.
