PURPOSE:To make the output states of an image and a voice match by providing a control means for executing the output control of a reproducing sound signal in accordance with the reproducing state of a video signal. CONSTITUTION:In case when a signal from a filter 11 is normal video signal, a synchronous signal is fetched from a synchronous separating circuit 17 and in case when said signal is signal (noise) fetched from the non-recorded part of a magnetic tape 1, a random signal is outputted. A synchronous signal detecting circuit 18 consisting of an integration circuit 18a and a comparator 18b outputs a signal corresponding to an input signal and a squelch circuit 9 executes the cut-off or transmission of a signal outputted from an amplifier 8. That is to say, in case when a reproducing signal by a video signal reproducing means B is a normal video signal, a reproducing signal by a sound signal reproducing means A is also decided to be a normal sound signal, and transmitted to a loudspeaker, etc.
