PURPOSE:To prevent local heating in a bearing part and eliminate its scuffing and weld deposition or the like, by providing an evaporation layer, formed by a metal of high thermal conductivity, in a journal part of a rotor shaft, in the case of a turbine rotor having the rotor shaft made of high chrome alloy steel. CONSTITUTION:A rotor shaft 11 is formed by high Cr alloy steel. Here the rotor shaft 11 provides in its journal part 12 an evaporation layer 13 consisting of metal, for instance, silver and copper or its alloy and the like with high thermal conductivity. And the evaporation layer 13 forms its thickness to be set to about 30-50mum, further the journal part 12 internally provides in its surface layer part compression residual stress to be generated by evaporation. While the journal part 12 is directly supported to a bearing 15 lined with white metal 14. Further the journal part 12 integrally forms in its point end a coupling 16 by high Cr alloy steel. In this way, the rotor shaft, even if its journal part 12 is directly supported to the bearing 15, is prevented from generating scuffing and weld deposition because local heating can be prevented in a bearing part.
