PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a cylinderhead by covering a prescribed position on the free contact surface of the cylinderhead of an engine for car by a heat-resisting metal plate for cut off. CONSTITUTION:A collar plate 10a consisting of a heat-resisting metal plate for cut off is formed integrally onto the periphery of the closed surface of a combustion chamber 10 press-fitted onto the bottom surface 9a of a cylinderhead 9. Therefore, the calorific heat transmitted from a fire contact surface to the periphery of the combustion chamber 10 of the cylinderhead 9 can be reduced. Thus, the thermal load applied onto an important part can be reduced, and the thermal fatigue strength is improved locally, and the durability of the cylinderhead can be improved. |
