PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an entire translating work including correction in terms of translation of a highly-advanced sentence by permitting a translating device to indicate and help what is noticed and evaluated at the time of automatic translation evaluation. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 1 includes a character key 1a inputting a character code and a function key 1b inputting a code selecting and indicating a function necessary for translating and correcting. A main memory 4 includes an evaluating information table 45 storing an evaluation result, a work register 46 and a threshold table 44 deciding how to evaluate when accuracy is calculated by a processing program 41 executing algorithm for translation, a translation rule table 42 storing rules for translation, a translated sentence area 43 storing a translated sentence according to the application of the rules and the multi- valued property of a sentence to be translated. First, when a user depresses a start key, a CPU 3 divides roughly a processing program 41, and executes three processings such as autoevaluation III translated result carried in a I 1st language translation II step, its evaluation and display.
