PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the resin impregnated characteristic and flexibility of a packing base material, by constituting the packing base material with a briaded material of braides consisting of acrylic group refractory fibers or carbon fibers having a monofilament diameter less than 6mum. CONSTITUTION:A polymer composed of 95wt% of acryloitrate, 4wt% of methyl crylate and 1wt% of acrylic acid is subjected to a wet-spinning to obtain an ultra thin fiber precursor having an averaged monofilament coefficient of 0.1 deniers and a total filament coefficient of 2,400 deniers. This precussor is subjected to a false twist at a temporary twist number of S45T/m, and is heated at 275 deg.C. in air for 135min. Thereby, it is possible to obtain a refractory yarn having a monofilament diameter of 1.6mum. This refractory yarn is nitted into a grid-like mesh structure, and is impregnated with fluororesin dispersed solution to form a shaft seal grand packing material. |
