In the case of said reinforcing mat, the transverse-wire end parts (8), projecting beyond the border longitudinal wires (2, 3), in the mat plane are bent back in the direction of the border longitudinal wires (2, 3), and the longitudinal wires (2, 3) are arranged, symmetrically to the longitudinal central axis (X - X) of the mat, such that some are at a greater mutual distance and some are at a smaller mutual distance, at least two longitudinal wires (2, 3) being located at a small mutual distance on each mat border. <IMAGE>
