PURPOSE:To correct unnatural state due to a noise and the fluctuation of a density value by applying 32 picture profile shape correcting and legal pattern to a 3X3 mesh using the profile dot string of a binary-coded picture as a center. CONSTITUTION:The titled method is composed of a picture input device 21, a computer 22 as a picture processor and a monitor display 23 displaying the processed result. Processing is executed by a program in the computer 22. Then a pattern Mi in the 3X3 mesh using a profile point Pi concerned as a center is converted into a '01' pattern made of nine bits. Next a table available from arranging 32 legal patterns previously converted into the '01' patterns in the frequency order is referred. If the '01' pattern does not match with any one of 32 legal patterns, it is considered to an error correction symbol made of nine bits. When the pattern having the smallest humming distance among 32 legal patterns or plural patterns similar to said one are present, they are decided as the replaced legal pattern. Such a series of processing is terminated several times corresponding to the number of profile points. |
