PURPOSE:To obtain a reproducing picture quality having a good quality, even if an MUSE signal is recorded onto a tape without a guard band, by providing a comb-line filter through which a desired FM signal passes, and a crosstalk signal from an adjacent track does not pass. CONSTITUTION:An FM carrier frequency to the MUSE signal of an even field recorded in a tape 1 becomes (fc+1/4fH) (fH: horizontal synchronizing frequency). A video head 2 reproduces an FM signal recorded in a track T3, and an FM signal by a crosstalk from tracks T2, T4, the reproduced FM signal is applied to a comb-line filter 13 having a passing area at every fH/2 through a switch S1 and a head amplifier 11, the FM signal of a carrier frequency (fc) recorded in tracks T1, T3... passes through, and the crosstalk of a carrier frequency (fc+1/4fH) from the tracks T2, T4 is eliminated. By a switcher 15, outputs of the comb-line filters 13, 14 become a continuous signal and are demodulated by an FM demodulator 16.
