PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of a resilient coupling to make it possible to reduce the overall length of a propelling device, by attaching an internal gear in a planetary speed reduction gear to a casing through the intermediary of a resilient member for absorbing and relaxing torsional vibration. CONSTITUTION:An internal gear 7 is attached to a casing 9 through the intermediary of a leaf spring 19 as a resilient member 18. Accordingly, torsional vibration transmitted to the internal gear 7 from a sun gear 6 through planetary gears 8 is absorbed and relaxed due to deflection and deformation of the leaf spring 19. Therefore, no torsional vibration is transmitted to the output shaft 10 of a planetary speed reduction gear 3. Accordingly, torsional vibration may be absorbed and relaxes within the planetary speed reduction 3, and therefore no resilient coupling is required, thereby it is possible to reduce the overall length of the propelling device by the length of the resilient coupling.
