Device for controlling the displacement of a seat frame 15 fastened to adjustment slideways 11 whose rear part bears the articulation spindle 21 of rocker bars (connecting rods) 20, and which is additionally mounted in articulation on the said slideways 11, while a locking hook 26 mounted on the frame 15 is intended to immobilise the said frame 15 in the use position of the seat and in which the unlocking of this hook enables the frame 15 to be lifted and tilted forward, characterised in that the slideways 11 carry articulated return levers 10, one end of which carries a stop 23 for driving in rotation the said levers 10 under the action of the corresponding rocker bar (connecting rod) 20 and the other end of which is securely fastened to a thrust bar (reaction connecting-rod) 7 mounted so as to articulate on a fixed slide 4 supporting the slideway 11.
