Method and machine for manufacturing a coated support from a conventional support. At least one varnish of the offset type 10, either loaded or non-loaded, is applied onto at least one face of the said support F, a powder of plastic heat-fusible material or a blowing agent or a pigment is deposited by spraying 12 onto the said varnish, and a physicochemical conversion of the varnish is effected 13 as well as a physical and/or chemical conversion of the powder or powders deposited in order to obtain a coating.
