PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise and deformation and break of each part, by providing a floating means which enables a plunger to be driven for discharge with the aid of a cam nose, and floats a tappet with a gap between a cam body and the tappet. CONSTITUTION:A fuel outlet 18 of a fuel amount regulating and feeding device 17 is communicated to a fuel inlet 15a of a plunger chamber 15 of a pump part 13 of a unit injector (a) through a fuel passage 16 and a check valve 12. A plunger 11 is so formed as to be driven for discharge by means of a cam nose 34 of a cam 30. A floating means 48 is provided for floating a tappet 35 with a gap between the tappet and a cam body 31. This prevents the generation of noise and deformation and break of each part.
