PURPOSE:To input easily a waveform drawing and to read exactly and quickly a waveform numerical value by providing an input image storage means, a line thinning means, a variable axis detecting means, an affine transducer, an amplitude counting means and a physical quantity operating means, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled reader is provided with the input image storage means 7, the line thinning means 9, the variable axis detecting means 13, the affine transducer 15, the amplitude counting means 19 and the physical quantity operating means 27, etc. The means 9 brings the stored image of the means 7 to line thinning. Also, a means 11 stores an image brought to line thinning by the means 19 is sent to the means 27 and an amplitude is derived and it is outputted to a waveform analyzing device 25. On the other hand, a variable axis is made to coincide with a reference axis by the transducer 15 by which the set error of a waveform drawing 5 to an input device is eliminated. Counting by the means 19 is executed after a thinned line graphic is made to pass through the transducer 15, therefore, it can be executed easily and exactly.
