PURPOSE:To prevent a binder from remaining by a method in which, when sealing electrode stems, inner tubes, an outer tube on a stem plate en bloc with glass frit, a nozzle is inserted from an exhaust pipe into the tube inside for being heated while making air to flow. CONSTITUTION:A common cathode 5 is provided on the central part of a stem disc 1, while three sets of U-shaped inner tubes 8 having built-in anodes 7 and whose inner walls are coated with fluorescent substances 10 with different luminous colors are provided on its outside parts for being covered with an outer tube 11 thus forming a fluorescent lamp able to freely change its luminous color. Thereby, glass frit paste 12 is applied inside a groove 2 of the disc 1 while the electrode stems 3, 6, the inner tubes 8 and the outer tube 11 are placed on it en bloc. Further, a nozzle 15 is inserted from an exhaust pipe 4 to the tube inside for being heated while being supplied with air in order to fire frit 12 for hardening. Accordingly, a binder contained on paste is perfectly combusted thus excluding lowering of the specific property of the lamp due to its remaining.
