The invention relates to an open circuit for the overhead handling of isolated loads. It is composed of a fixed structure forming the rail, comprising in the upper part an open tube 1 connected to a lower tube 6 by means of a web 5 and ribs 4. The driving member consists of an endless cable 7 travelling in these tubes 1 and 6 and actuated by a means located at one of the ends of the rail. The cable 7, by means of rings 3 fixed to it, drives trolleys which consist of a support 11 and of rollers 10 and receive the loads to be transported and which are equipped with a lever 11, one end of which penetrates into the upper tube 1 in order to come into contact with the rings 3 and with a traction member 7 and allow the trolleys to be driven. The invention is used in the technical sector of devices for automatic transport and storage. <IMAGE>
