PURPOSE:To permit the operation with high output and markedly suppress the generation of knocking by arranging a knock sensor onto an internal-combustion engine and installing a comparator for comparing the voltage of a knock limit setting device and a peak-hold circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of a knock sensor 1 is input into the filter 2 of a control means A, and only the output signal of knocking is taken out, and outputted into a peak-hold circuit 3. In a comparator 5, the set voltage previously set in a knock limit value setting device 6 and the input voltage supplied from a peak-hold circuit 3 are compared. When the input voltage supplied from the peak-hold circuit 3 exceeds a set value, a knock stop signal is outputted, and a knock preventing apparatus 7 is automatically driven. Therefore, a high output can be obtained, and the generation of knock can be suppressed markedly.
