This device, of the type acting as a spittoon fitted with means for supplying water for rinsing the mouth of a patient and means for suction of waste, this assembly being mounted on a handle within reach of the patient whatever his position, is characterised in that it comprises: a. A receptacle 14 having at its front part 34 a sector which can be deformed over a certain height intended to match the outline and profile of the sublabial region of the patients, the said receptacle comprising, on the one hand, means 37-15-15a allowing it to be mounted on a support forming a handle 1 passed through by channels for supplying water and suction of waste 4-3, and, on the other hand, at least one orifice 13a which can be connected to at least one of the said channels 13; b. Means 15-15a for holding it in position, opposing the tilting of the said receptacle on its support; c. Means 16-17-32 for making at least one sector of the rear part of this receptacle less deformable. <IMAGE>
