<p>PURPOSE:To prevent nonuniformity in contracting deformation, on cooling, of an installing flange part by providing a boot which covers vacant spaces between ribs on at least one end side of said ribs which are radially formed on the outer wall of a cylinder body. CONSTITUTION:A master cylinder body 1 is formed with a synthetic resin material, and an installing flange part 3 is projectingly provided in an integrated form near its rear end. This installing flange part 3 consists of a cylindrical part 9 which projects out radially from the outer wall of the cylinder body 1 and which is supported by plural ribs 8 which extend in the axial direction of the cylinder body 1, and a thick walled installing flange 10 which vertically extends from the central part in the longitudinal direction of the cylindrical part 9 with the cylindrical part 9 being interposed in between. The cylinder body 1 is covered with a boot 31 from its rear end, and the collar part 33A of the supplementary boot 33 is engaged with the fitting groove 34 of the installing flange 10. The projection 35 of the boot 31 is engaged with a retainer metal fitting 23, to hold the boot 31 on the cylinder body 1.</p> |
