PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of the captioned apparatus by positioning a thin band plate such as doctor blade of a photogravure press onto a basic plate drum and feed-driving said thin band plate to a working position, in a holding and feeding apparatus when said thin band plate is polished. CONSTITUTION:A basic plate drum 32 axially supported onto the base board of a small-sized grinder can be turned towards the grinding or cutting work position, and a pressing band 46 is installed in free contact and separation onto the drum 32, and the fastening and relaxing of the band 46 is controlled by a fluid actuator 60. A standard holding surface is formed onto the outer peripheral surface of the basic plate drum 32, and the pressing band 46 is installed so that free fastening and relaxing are permitted towards the holding surface, and in concrete, said basic plate drum 32 is supported onto the drum 32 itself which the both edges of he band 46 set. The fluid actuator 60 is fixed onto the basic plate drum 32, and one edge of the band 46 is extended in the fastening direction by said urging force. Therefore, working is carried out by holding a thin band plate between the band 46 and the outer peripheral side surface 32a of the drum 32. |
