PURPOSE:To ensure that an ink sheet is effectively used and the operator has no trouble in positioning a recording position of a date, a page number or the like, by a system wherein a mark in a marginal region of an ink sheet is formed in a printing ink, a sensor for detecting the mark is provided opposite to the marginal region, and a printing head is controlled by a printing- controlling means. CONSTITUTION:Belt form margion regions 12 are left on both sides of an effective printing region 11 comprising a yellow ink surface Y, a magenta ink surface M and a cyan ink surface C in a repeated pattern on an ink sheet 10, and a combined leading end protruding and additional printing mark 13 is provided in a black ink at a part of the marginal region 12 on one side. A mark-detecting sensor 21 is disposed on the front side of an ink sheet inserting roller 14, and the mark 13 is optically detected by the sensor 21. Based on a signal from an inks sheet feed controlling means 22, the printing-controlling means 24 reads data from a memory 25, that is, data such as a date and a page number stored in the memory 25 are read. Simultaneously wit printing on a recording paper 18 by the yellow ink surface Y, the date, the page number or the like is printed at a part 18a on one side of the paper 18 by using the ink of the mark 13. |
