A circuit for the ground electrical power supply of the connecting plug of an aircraft having an electromagnetic power relay (4) for the three phases of the three-phase power supply, which relay can be operated from a ground electrical power source via a normally-open push-button switch and is provided with a self-latching circuit which includes a DC source, which is connected to the connecting plug, on board the aircraft. A normally-open contact (30) of a second electromagnetic relay (28) is provided on the ground side in the coil circuit (3) of the electromagnetic power relay (4) the coil circuit (31) of which relay (28) is connected in the circuit of a low-voltage electrical power source (32) and is passed via switching means (FB'-FB'') in/on the connecting socket (6), which contact can be closed via a plug pin (FS) (which is independent of the three-phase power supply) on the connecting plug (10) on the aircraft side, so that the second relay trips when the connecting socket is called out and thus opens the coil circuit of the power relay. <IMAGE>
