The invention relates to a foam mat of predominantly open-pored polyurethane for sound absorption, which foam mat can be adhesively bonded or foamed onto a thin-walled carrier material and, if appropriate, consists of a flexible surface covering. The essential feature of this foam mat consists in the foam mat having a sound-permeable, textile polyester insert.
