PURPOSE:To provide the titled gel material having excellent cushioning and vibration-absorbing effects and suitable for use as cushioning material, soundproofing material, vibration insulator and magnetic packing having excellent gap sealing properties, by incorporating lots of fine magnetic particles in a substrate composed of silicone gel. CONSTITUTION:Silicone gel 1 having a penetration of 50-300 is used as a substrate and lots of fine magnetic particles 2 (e.g. iron powder) are incorporated therein. Part of the whole of the substrate to which pressure is externally applied is covered with a flexible material 4 such as high-damping rubber or polyurethane film to obtain the titled gel material. |
