PURPOSE:To insulate an input from an output, to reduce and to simplify a rectifier by providing a charging capacitor between the first and second semiconductor switch circuits, inverting both the switches to interrupt and conduct them. CONSTITUTION:A half-wave rectifier 100 is provided between AC input terminals 1, 2 and DC output terminals 3, 4. The rectifier 100 has the first and second semiconductor switch circuits 101, 102, and capacitors 17, 18. In this case, the circuits 101, 102 are driven in response to the polarity of an AC applied to the terminals 1, 2, and inverted to be interrupted and conducted. Thus, when the terminal 1 has higher potential than the terminal 2, the first switch circuit 101 is conducted to charge the capacitor 17 (the circuit 102 is interrupted at this time), and when the terminal 2 comes to higher potential than the terminal 1, the circuit 102 is conducted to be connected with DC output terminals 3, 4 (the circuit 101 is interrupted to be insulated from the terminals 1, 2 at this time). |
