摘要 PURPOSE:To keep off any sudden change in a steering characteristic due to a sudden change in a power distribution ratio at selection as well as to aim at improvement in steering stability at the time of turn driving, by controlling the power distribution ratio for front and rear wheels on the basis of a revolving speed difference between these front and rear wheels and a time variation in this revolving speed difference. CONSTITUTION:A revolving speed difference DELTAN between front and rear wheels is calculated on the basis of each signal out of revolving speed detectors 12 and 13 for front and rear wheels, then a time variation DELTAN' in the revolving speed difference DELTAN is calculated by a revolving acceleration difference detecting device 15. An acceleration compensation value A. DELTAN' multiplying the time variation by a compensation factor A is calculated by a compensating device. Next, a desired distributing ratio D* corresponding to DELTAN+A.DELTAN' is calculated by a desired distributing ratio calculating device 17, and a drying force distributing device 11 is controlled so as to cause a power distributing ratio of drying force for front and rear wheels to become the desired distributing ratio D* by a driving device 18. Therefore, there is no sudden change in the power distributing ratio such as complete selection from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive and vice versa, so that a sudden change in a steering characteristic is prevented from occurring, thus steering at the time of turn driving is stabilized.
