PURPOSE:To enable paper to be always stably transferred by a paper feed means in which the displacement of a transfer sheet beat by the end abutting against a second paper feed means stopping its rotation is detected so that the paper feed means is made inoperative by utilizing the detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:A microswitch MS-4 detects with an actuator 4 that an end of transfer paper sent out of a paper feed roller 57 abuts against a second paper feed roller 80 stopped yet at that time and successively draws loops by the continuous operation of the paper feed roller 57. The microswitch is electrically interlocked with a paper feed motor M1 to deenergize it. Also in operation, the upper side guide plate 81.. is provided in the corresponding position with a notch not to interfere with the actuator a4 lifted by increasing loops of transfer paper. Further, when the stagnation of paper or the like occurs near the roller 80, a lever 8001 formed to pivotally drop about one end is pro vided additionally in said position to make a gap between both rollers 80A, 80B so that the paper discharge is facilitated and paper transfer can be always stably carried out.
