PURPOSE:To increase brush pushing force when a car is considerably dirty and diminish brush pushing force in the case of slight uncleanliness or at the time of waxing by installing a brush pushing force driving equipment designed to change the force in accordance with washing conditions. CONSTITUTION:Side brushes 10a, 10b are hung with a roller 13 and a slider 14 which hold a rail 12 from its top and bottom and are driven by a brush driving part B. To the side facing wires 18a, 18b of arms 17a, 17b that link the roller 13 and the slider 14, one end each of wires 21a, 21b is connected, with dead weights 30 hung from their bottom part. The dead weights 30 are in the shape of containers and are so designed that a change in the volume of water within alters weight and adjusts the pushing force of brushes 10a, 10b. Thus, a pushing force driving part A, which is a means to make brush pushing force variable, is installed. The driving part A is controlled by a controlling device 40 in accordance with car washing conditions.
