The invention relates to a method for compensating for a temperature response of an LC tuned circuit, the tuned circuit quality being kept constant by means of a current through a second coil which is coupled in an opposing series connection to the tuned circuit coil. This current is controlled by the impedance loss of the second coil such that a change in the tuned circuit quality resulting from changes in the impedance loss of the tuned circuit coil is compensated for. Possible oscillator circuits using this temperature-compensated tuned circuit are specified, in the case of which the second coil is used as part of the feedback network. The use of such temperature-compensated oscillators is particularly advantageous in inductive proximity initiators and proximity sensors.
