The invention relates to a vehicle body with mudguards, between which a front or rear door is inserted adjacent to a front window or rear window so as to be capable of folding open on hinge fittings, having adjustment means incorporated in each hinge fitting for fitting in the door and having a through-slot, cut out for at least one window wiper, between the edge of the door facing the window and a part of the vehicle body adjoining the window frame. The fitting in of the door has previously been a laborious operation because the hinge fitting can only be adjusted with the door open. According to the invention, the fitting in of the door is simplified in that the hinge fittings are arranged below the door and adjacent to the through-slot in such a way that the hinge adjusting means can be reached and adjusted from the outside with a tool through the through-slot with the door closed. The door can be satisfactorily fitted in in this way in the closed state.
