PURPOSE:To enhance performance and operability, by a system wherein the home position of a type part in normal outputting is different from that in reverse movement. CONSTITUTION:Immediately after printing, a carriage is moved by one-character amount rightward, and a predetermined type 7h of a type wheel is located at a position matched to a hammer 10. This position is so arranged that a notched part 7j of the type wheel is located at a lower part of the printed character, so that the operator can look at the printed character without any interference by the type wheel. On the subsequent back spacing, the carriage is moved by one-character amount in the direction opposite to the direction for printing, when the type wheel is moved to the second home position. By this, the hammer 10 is opposed to character 'd', so that the operator can easily observe to what position the carriage has been returned by back spacing. |
